Why it feels different in person

Why it feels different in person
First step in. It always lands a bit different.

Hey cuz,

There’s a moment that only happens when you start stepping inside places.

You saw it online. Photos looked fine. Layout made sense.

Then you walk in.
And the first thing you feel--"It’s tighter than I thought."
Sometimes it’s more direct--"Is there mold here?", "That AC looks ancient."

That part throws people off.
It’s not like it’s unlivable. But it doesn’t feel like what you expected.

After a few viewings, something starts to shift.
You stop reacting to everything. You start noticing what actually matters.

Where you’d sleep.
Where you’d work.
How the light comes in.
What you can live with.

Some things drop off. Some things move up.
Your standard adjusts a bit. More real.
You start trading things.

Space for location.
Light for price.
New for practical.

That’s when it gets easier. Places stop feeling random. They start making sense.

So it’s okay to feel thrown off by that first impression.
That’s part of it. You’re figuring out how you’d live in it.

And that only happens once you step inside a few.

Stay steady,

P.S. I wrote out how to move through viewings more clearly in the guide if you need it.
